Well,
Welcome, but that welcome might just be to myself as no one knows that I have started this blog. I have wanted to start a blog as our immediate fam has moved from Cali to Ill and I wanted not only to keep track of this adventure, but for friends and family to see also.
But here is a catch. . . many of my friends who have moved away know that writing to keep in touch has never been my thing, so we will have to just wait and see if this is something that will actually happen.
The move went great. While I was away at Girls Camp and the girls were at Girl Scout Day camp, Rob held the fort down while movers came and packed up our house. He oversaw the renters moving into our Cali home (way weird) and we moved into my Dads house for the remainder of our stay. Then the six of us (4 humans and 2 parakeets) jumped on a plane in San Fran. on the 10th and flew to Illinois. (The birds did great by the way) We have been in a whirlwind with movers , rental cars, unpacking(the unpacking fairies have not showed up), finding a gym for the girls, going to the new school to meet and greet, waiting for my car to be dropped off (yea, been waiting on this one for 3 days now) and last but not least my back strain which has laid me up(ok making waiting for the car not too bad) I have forgotten what day of the week it has been and with the 2 hr. time change it's at least 1:00/1:30 pm before we show our heads for the day. Wonder is that will fly since school starts on Monday. Crazy, but good crazy. The girls have each picked out their new bedroom sets and are so excited they don't seem to mind it taking up to almost a month before everthing arrives. Will post pictures once their rooms are done. (that is assuming I figure out how to do that also)
So for now, here we are. . . Have met some wonderful people, miss home and friends alot, but excited for this adventure
